Academy Award Winner Forest Whitaker and KISS lead singer Paul Stanley to join Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, GRAMMY Winner Jason Mraz, Camilla Belle and many other stars at the 2010 Freedom Awards on Sunday, November 7th in Los Angeles!

LOS ANGELES -- More than 27 million people are trapped in slavery throughout the world today. But there are heroes—many of them escaped slaves themselves—who risk their lives to free others from brothels, sweatshops and horrific mistreatment in modern slavery. These heroes are the Frederick Douglasses and Harriet Tubmans of our time.

Each year, the non-profit organization Free the Slaves honors the best of the best with the anti-slavery movement’s highest honor: The Freedom Award. On November 7th at 5 p.m., these heroes will join musicians, actors, political and business leaders, authors and activists for an uplifting nationally-televised event at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center to raise awareness about slavery and how to end it. The Freedom Rocks after-party concert with top musicians will begin right after the ceremony, just outside the Performing Arts Center.

The 2010 Freedom Awards will be a soul-revving, heart-thumping, shout-out-loud celebration! Guests will enjoy the witty Freedom Awards host Sir Ken Robinson and live performances by Grammy Award winner Jason Mraz, Rickie Byars Beckwith & the Agape International Choir, Rocky Dawuni and String Theory.

Michael Bernard Beckwith and the President of Free the Slaves, Dr. Kevin Bales, will inspire us on stage along with many others.

Actors Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Camilla Belle (“Push”, “10,000 BC”) and Vincent Kartheiser (“Mad Men”, “Alpha Dog”) will join Meredith Artley, the managing editor of CNN.com, as presenters at this year’s awards ceremony. There will also be the world-premiere exhibit of slave portraits by renowned photographer Lisa Kristine.

Actor and humanitarian Ryan Devlin (“Brothers & Sisters,” “Cougar Town”) will host the Freedom Rocks After-Party, which will feature performances by Rocky Dawuni, the Makepeace Brothers and Luc and The Lovingtons, along with a very special encore performance by GRAMMY Award Winner Jason Mraz. Guests will enjoy gourmet snacks and custom cocktails at the Freedom Rocks After-Party along with the opportunity to get involved with the movement that evening.

Confirmed to attend: Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, Forest Whitaker, Jason Mraz, Boris Kodjoe, Nicole Ari Parker, Camilla Belle, Vincent Kartheiser, Paul Stanley, Ryan Devlin, Victor Alfieri, MSNBC Anchor Richard Lui, CNN.com Managing Editor Meredith Artley, Sir Ken Robinson, Adetokumboh M’Cormack, Natasha Alam, Alexandra Breckenridge, Adam Harrington, Makepeace Brothers, Lisa Kristine, Peggy Callahan, Kevin Bales, Rickie Byars Beckwith and the Agape International Choir, Rocky Dawuni, String Theory, Michael Bernard Beckwith, and many more!
