A message from 9-year-old Jasmine

There are miracles happening at the LOVE146 Round House.  These stories bring me hope. There are many charities and non-profits you can and should donate to. If you do not have a charity that you donate to yet, I invite you to support LOVE146 below.

Jasmine is one of the many girls and boys we’ve served through our global survivor care programs. She has been recovering in our Round Home in the Philippines for more than a year and has shared her hopes with us: “In the future, I want to be a teacher. One of the most beautiful gifts from God is the chance to learn. Love146 is helping me to do my studies and see my dreams. Because of education, I can be smart in making decisions, and other people can’t trick me. Here in the Round Home, I am very happy because nobody hurts me, and lots of people love me here.”
Your gifts create transformative spaces for children, like Jasmine, to experience beauty in the world.
Every dollar you give through this email will go directly towards our Survivor Care programs in The Philippines.

Anti-Pimp My Ride Convoy through Dallas Before the Super Bowl

PRINT YOUR FLIERS HERE

What is Anti Pimp My Ride?
On Feb. 5th, the day before the Super Bowl, 200-300 volunteers will take a 2 hour SATURDAY drive around Dallas with large magnets on their cars with messages raising awareness about child trafficking and encouraging the use of hotlines.

Overview
We are looking for groups and individuals to take a stand by driving their “Anti-pimp” car on a specific route for 2 hours on Saturday, February 5th – the day before the Super Bowl leaving from Irving Bible Church at 2pm.

The Purpose
The purpose of driving with these message magnets on the cars is to encourage people to dial the Human trafficking hotline number into their phone and make them aware of the Problem in America today. The potential therefore means that thousands of trafficking victims could be saved from a life of sexual slavery and even death itself with the community in Dallas reporting suspicious activity.

The Cars
We ask for a minimum donation of $30.00 to outfit each car…

The routes
The idea is to congregate on Saturday, February 5th at 2:00pm in the parking lot of Irving Bible Church. Once all participants have arrived, we will then proceed in convoy on a route through Downtown Dallas…

There will be a LOT of traffic.
Please drive carefully and patiently.

And finally please punch in 1.888 3737 888 in your phone today. This National Human Trafficking Hotline is backed by both federal and state law and is already rescuing thousands of victims in America today.

This short video shows the history of Love146 and what they do.

This topic can be a sad and depressing issue, but we have to remember to stay positive and have fun as we work to end slavery. I think RT contests are a blast and who doesn't like winning free stuff. Plus, wouldn't it be great if our message reached 1 million people.

Abolition is coming through love.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I love this video by Love146.org. So many slavery awareness videos include heavy material, which is okay and needed, but it's nice to be reminded that there's hope in this cause and that good things are happening.

Remember that LOVE should be our motivation as abolitionists and not hate. It's easy and natural to become enraged and angered at the atrocities of slavery and child exploitation, but our ultimate motivation should be love for the victims as we work with hope towards prevention.

"Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice. Justice at its best is love correcting everything that stands against love."
- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Love146.org has a wonderful Valentine e-card fundraiser. Please check it out. I can't think of a better gift to send to a loved one. I would also checkout the slideshow of hand-made valentine's people sent to survivors at the Love146 Round Home. Very cool.
